INTRODUCTION

Castles and Concerts is a group of friends who travel together. Our stated goal is, once a year to pick a wonderful spot on the globe, then to assemble fun-loving men and women and proceed to spend a week enjoying culture, cuisine, wine and each other's company.

Castles and Concerts is not run as a business, but exists to enhance the cultural experience of its members. We are not affiliated with any other clubs, travel agencies or cultural organizations.

Starting May 3rd, 2009, we’ve chartered the jewel of the Wind Star fleet, the Wind Surf. The Castles and Concerts team sat down with our hosts from Wind Star Cruises and together we mapped out a unique route, designed to bring us to the most interesting ports. This will include a two-night stay in Monte Carlo during which time we will mount our own musical production. This is unprecedented and we believe the Wind Surf crew is as excited as we are to veer from the usual cruise itinerary into new waters! Added to all this is the fact that the Wind Surf is the most luxurious of the three ships. Among many other amenities, the Wind Surf also has elevators between decks, a beautiful new spa and Wi-Fi internet and cell service. The ship is ours exclusively, and the staff is eager to please, so prepare to be pampered.

As we prepare to sail into the sunset at 5pm on May 3rd from Civitavecchia, the port of Rome, we’ll have an incredible line-up of singers, conductors, musicians, magicians, speakers, and bon vivants. We propose to keep each other entertained in a week long, non-stop party. We expect that there are others among you, and we encourage participation.
